Running list of things I notice during meditation
- I almost always gain more energy after meditation, but still often feel like “I don’t have enough energy to start meditation”.
- Often 20 mins into a sit I suddenly start to feel optimistic, energetic, and the urge to get up, sitting through this often leads to the most intense meditation experiences.
- I sometimes pray to Buddha, which means speaking to myself. This practice helps me clarify what I’m trying to figure out, or what questions to ask.
- Meditating in the same place helps me calibrate how much of reality I’m perceiving, some days the same things look much less clear, and I think those are times where I am less present.
- I find it easier to be emotional, and feel my reaction to something that’s on my mind when I sit. I can also sometimes feel emotions unattached to any thoughts, this helps me disentagle the 2.
